These terms are an agreement between your business and Bulletproof Automations (“we”, “us”) for the use of Bulletproof Receptionist (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms on behalf of your business. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
The service
Bulletproof Receptionist is an AI receptionist. It answers your business calls with a natural voice and your greeting, answers questions from the information you give it, takes messages and emails them to you, flags urgent calls, and books, changes and cancels appointments in its own calendar.
By default it tells callers it is an AI receptionist. It is not a person, and it is not an emergency service. Callers with an emergency should hang up and call 911 or their local emergency number.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your business. Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for activity in your account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
Plans, billing and minutes
- Fees. Plans are billed monthly in advance at the price shown when you choose your plan, plus any applicable taxes.
- Minutes. Each plan includes a fixed number of minutes per billing period. Unused minutes do not roll over.
- No overage charges. We email you when you have used 75%, 90% and 95% of your minutes. If you run out, you keep your number, but the service stops answering new calls until you upgrade or your minutes renew; a call already in progress ends politely. We never charge for extra minutes without you choosing a new plan.
- Changing plans. You can upgrade at any time. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires.
- Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to you.
Free browser demo
The free demo lets you talk to a receptionist set up for your business in your browser. It includes 10 minutes of talk time in total, usable for 3 days from your first conversation, with no phone number and no payment card. Demo minutes do not renew and do not carry over to a paid plan; the setup you create does. One free demo per business. We may end the demo early if it is misused.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- the business information, greeting and instructions you give the receptionist, and keeping them accurate
- following the laws that apply to your calls, including laws on telling callers about AI, transcripts and recording, consumer protection and privacy
- having any notices or consents your callers need under those laws
- checking messages, bookings and urgent flags, and following up with your callers
- using the service in line with our Acceptable use policy
Your content and call data
Your business information and the call data the service collects for you belong to your business. You give us permission to use them only to provide, secure and improve the service for you. For call data, we act as your processor, as described in our Privacy policy. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request.
AI output
The receptionist uses AI and can make mistakes: it may mishear a caller, misunderstand a question or give an answer that isn’t right. It answers from the information you give it, so keep that information complete and current. Check important details, such as bookings and messages, before you rely on them.
Third-party services
The service relies on providers such as phone, speech, AI and payment providers. Their services may change or be unavailable at times, and we are not responsible for them beyond what these terms say.
Service availability
We work to keep the service running around the clock, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or improve features. If we remove a feature that is central to your plan, we will tell you and you may cancel.
Warranties
Apart from what these terms say, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses if a claim is brought against us because of the information you gave the receptionist, the way you used the service, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy, puts others at risk, or has unpaid fees. After closure, we delete your data as described in our Privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post changes here and, if they are significant, email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state where Bulletproof Automations is registered, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that state, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be waived.
